[JOB] RIA Development Engineer, San Francisco, CA to 150k

This is a full time, on-site, salaried position located in downtown San Francisco paying $120,000-150,000 + benefits.  No telecommuting allowed.  US Citizens, Green Card holders, EAD or CAN only please.  Local candidates preferred; however, candidates interested in relocating considered as well.  Relocation expenses covered in the form of a sign-on bonus.

My San Francisco client is a growing venture funded company that is a leader in customer experience management. They enable any company doing critical eBusiness to ensure that every customer can complete every transaction, every time. Offering a revolutionary capability to look at a web application and the customer experience outside-in, just like users do, and surface barriers to the successful completion of transactions. Our client is adding world-class customers that read as a who’s-who of Internet commerce in Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing and Travel. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting edge technology while working with some of the top engineers in the industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

The RIA Development Engineer will work with the engineering team to improve and develop tools and solutions related to RIA replay technology for a wide variety of technology stacks. This position will be working on leading edge solutions for RIA Replay including:
* Server Side Browser Rendering Engine
* Adaptations of open source browser engines like Firefox and Chrome
* Mobile Client Replay

To be successful in this role, you must possess in-depth expertise in JavaScript and ActionScript programming and be current on the technologies in the RIA space.

Requirements:

* 2+ years cross-browser AJAX (including CSS and HTML) application development experience
* 1+ year FLEX and ActionScript development experience

Should be familiar with:
* Adobe Livecycle Data Services
* Advanced JavaScript Techniques and DOM API expertise
* AJAX Toolkits such as JQuery, Dojo and Microsoft AJAX framework

Should have exposure to supporting tools and technologies including:
* Firebug debugging and profiling
* MS script debugger
* Flash debugger

* BS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering required
* Background in C/C++/Java programming a plus

My San Carlos, CA client is an educational technology company that is revolutionizing how students learn. They create online, interactive learning solutions that increase student effort and engagement in their high school and college courses. They have helped 1,000,000 students at more than 900 institutions since product inception in 2002 and are looking for eager and like-minded individuals to join our brainy, creative, and lively group!

The Flash Expert will be responsible for designing and developing rich internet applications. This is a full time position based in San Carlos, CA with the option to telecommute 2 days a week. Initial projects are in ActionScript 2; later they’ll move to AS3 and Flex.

Specific Responsibilities:
* Research, design, and develop Flash RIA’s (some general, some discipline specific)
* Work closely with domain experts, product management, customer support and sales to review requirements and technical specifications
* Review test plans with QA and participate in code reviews with developers

Basic Qualifications Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
* 5+ years development experience in Flash creating Rich Internet Applications
* Proficient developing in ActionScript 2.0
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and thrive in a start up environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
